一、彼得·加里森博士為哈佛大學約瑟夫·佩萊格里諾大學講座教授，專長於科學史與物理學。加里森教授於108年參與事件視界望遠鏡（Event Horizon Telescope, EHT）合作計畫，完成首張黑洞照片，因而共同獲得基礎物理突破獎、愛因斯坦獎章及英國皇家天文學會團隊成就獎。

I. Dr. Peter Garrison is the Joseph Pellegrino University Professor at Harvard University, specializing in the history of science and physics. In 2019, Professor Garrison participated in the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) collaborative project, completing the first image of a black hole, for which he shared the Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics, the Albert Einstein Medal, and the Royal Astronomical Society Team Achievement Award.

II. The first session of the "Academia Sinica Lecture Series" will be held at Academia Sinica, and the second session will be held at National Cheng Kung University. Information for the first lecture is as follows:
