二、本競賽類別共分為「AI應用類」、「IC設計類」；組別分為「學生組(國內/國際)」、「企業公開組」、「新創及中小企業組」、「國際企業組」，學生組以大專校院在校生為限(含專科四年級以上、碩、博士生及在職專班)。

1. To promote AI industrialization, AI adoption across industries, and the “2+4 Talent Development Program,” MOEA continues to organize the Smart Innovation Award in 2026.

2. Competition categories include the AI Application Category and the IC Design Category. Groups include the Student Group (Domestic/International), Open Corporate Group, Startup and SME Group, and International Corporate Group. The Student Group is limited to currently enrolled college and university students (including junior college students in their 4th year and above, master’s and doctoral students, and in-service programs).
