Notes:
1. This project aims to encourage forward-thinking and outstanding scholars to write monographs in the humanities and social sciences. The project deliverables include the publication of an outstanding monograph and a pre-publication thematic seminar. For general academic monographs, it is recommended to apply for the "Humanities and Social Sciences Academic Monograph Writing Project" according to the NSTC's guidelines for subsidized research projects.

2. Applications will be processed in accordance with the NSTC "Humanities for the Future Monograph Writing Project" call for proposals (attached) and the guidelines for subsidized research projects. Applicant institutions and project leaders must carefully review all regulations beforehand. Project leaders who have previously conducted monograph writing projects but have not yet published are not eligible to apply for this project.

3. The project will commence on August 1, 2026. Once approved, the project leader shall not undertake any other research projects funded by the National Science Council (NSTC) during the execution of this project.

IV. The content of this project proposal shall not be submitted to the NSTC simultaneously. Any overlap with other research projects must be clearly stated in the project declaration and the project proposal itself; otherwise, it will be considered a violation of academic ethics.

V. The applying institution shall thoroughly review the qualifications of the project leader and confirm the qualifications of the project leader for each application in the remarks column of the application roster. If the project leader has previously executed a book project, the publication status of that book should be confirmed. Only those who meet the requirements may submit their applications, along with a written declaration of the project leader's qualifications, after being reviewed and stamped by relevant personnel, to the NSTC.

VI. The application form is the same as the NSTC Special Research Project application form. All applications are submitted online.
