NSTC is soliciting proposals for "Advanced Technology Industry-Academia Collaboration Projects." Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and approved projects will commence implementation on the actual approved date (not a fixed start date). To promote the inclusion of the concepts of diversity, fairness, and inclusivity (DEI), applicants are requested to explain their implementation plans in their applications.
(*Applicants for Advanced Technology R&D projects must first submit a project concept application. Only projects approved by the NSC can be submitted online.)

I. Project Objectives: To encourage collaboration between universities, academic research institutions, and enterprises in joint R&D efforts and to assist enterprises in cultivating key technology R&D talent.
II. Project Types: Advanced Technology R&D, Industry-Academia R&D Center, Leading Technology Development.
III. Eligibility and Corporate Contribution Requirements:
(I) Forward-Looking Technology R&D: The company's annual matching fund must be no less than NT$40 million. The annual grant application should not exceed the aforementioned amount. The leading company's annual contribution should be at least NT$20 million.
(II) Industry-Academia R&D Center: The company's annual matching fund must be no less than NT$10 million. The annual grant application should be at most NT$10 million. The leading company's annual contribution should be at least NT$5 million. Furthermore, the applicant organization should have a dedicated team or personnel to handle contract negotiations with enterprises, talent matching, and project promotion, and allocate related expenses no less than 5% of the total project budget.
(For existing R&D centers or industry-academia collaborations undergoing transformation, the company's matching fund must include additional R&D expenses beyond the original R&D center or collaboration costs. The grant application should not exceed these additional R&D expenses.)
(III) Leading Technology Development: The company's matching fund in general fields must be no less than NT$5 million, and in the sports technology field, no less than NT$2 million, both exceeding the grant application amount. (iv) The implementation period for forward-looking technology R&D projects and industry-academia R&D center projects is a maximum of three years. The implementation period for leading technology development projects is one year.
(v) Before applying for a forward-looking technology R&D project, a "Project Concept Application Form" must be submitted. The application can only be submitted online after the National Science Council has reviewed and approved it.
