Subject: The National Science Council and the German Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) are jointly soliciting applications for the 2026-2029 "Taiwan-Germany Semiconductor Chip Design Academic Cooperation Research Project". Applications will be accepted from now until September 29, 2025 (on-campus acceptance).

1. Pursuant to the Taiwan-Germany Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement (STA) signed by the National Science Council and Germany’s BMFTR on March 21, 2023, we jointly solicit proposals for the third phase of the project. The application method is as attached in the announcement application instructions and the "Project Solicitation Area" of the Association's website.
2. The duration of this call for proposals is based on a three-year principle and is expected to be implemented from July 1, 2026. After the project leaders from Taiwan and Germany jointly discuss the project content, they must submit applications to the National Science Council and Germany's BMFTR respectively within the application deadline before the case can be established.
3. In order to allow more scholars and experts in the semiconductor field to participate in this joint call for papers, the National Science Council and the German BMFTR will jointly hold an online call for papers on the afternoon of July 24, 2025 (Thursday), linking Taiwanese and German scholars in the semiconductor field for interactive exchanges. Interested scholars are welcome to participate online. Registration and participation methods will be announced on the National Science Council website.
