Office of Academia Research

The Center of Academia-Industry Collaboration comprises the Industry-University Business Development Division, Value-Added Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Division, and Industry-University Administrative Services Division. It was established to procure industry-academia cooperation, strengthen commercialization of patented products, and enhance the efficiency of administrative support.

The center employs professional managers to assist STUST in pursuit of various aims, including interdisciplinary integration and value-added technology, patent commercialization, entrepreneurship incubation counseling, technology transfer and academia-industry cooperation. The center aims to act as a bridge between STUST and industries, improve our interaction with industries, upgrade our service capacity, and further develop  our investment and management operations in a variety of industries and businesses.

The Center of Academia-Industry Collaboration is working together with the Innovation Incubation of STUST in promoting school-run enterprises and in the development of new business ventures. Meanwhile, following the operation models of internationally renowned institutions involving academia-industry (e.g. ISIS Innovation of the University of Oxford, NUS Enterprise of the University of Singapore), the center will organize a venture capital system based on the surplus of school operation and the donations of alumni, board directors, and  industrial owners. It will lay a solid foundation for the sustainable development of STUST.
